Cotton is a soft fabric that breathes
Families that work together do other things together like playing, shopping, visiting neighbors and relatives, and going to church. When Saturday comes each week the family has more time together and often uses this day to go the city.
Mother and the girls want to shop for mattress pads for mother and fathers queen sized bed. They want to find one with the softest fabric that also breathes and find that Egyptian cotton is by far the preferred type.
tired heads are supported by a good pillow
After completing chores every evening the family sits down to eat dinner together that mother and the girls prepared. The meal consists of garden produce that is put up in the fall every year. They eat potatoes, corn, peas, beans, beets, carrots, onions, and tomatoes.
After dinner dishes are done homework is next and father and mother make plans for the next day. After homework the family has a short time for devotions and prayer and the children get ready for bed. Down feather pillows are awaiting five tired heads and bodies that need to be supported after a hard days work.
When a schoolday ends work is just beginning
When the kids get home from school they have a snack before they change into their work clothes and the girls help their mother do chores in the house. The boy helps his father do chores outside.
The family has an assortment of farm animals including; cows, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, and guinea hens. There are also dogs and cats. The ducks and geese have down under their feathers that provide the material for making down comforters.
Sleeping comfortably gets better rest for working
When the family wakes up every morning they crawl out from under down feather comforters
that have covered them and kept them warm all night. The family lives on a farm and the children need to eat breakfast and get chores done outside before they get on the bus to go to school.
There are not many of the kids in school that have to get up to do chores before school. Most kids are allowed to sleep as long a possible and many parents bring the children to school instead of getting them up early to get on the bus. Kids that live in town can sleep longer because they live close to school.
A story of a family in a cold place
This is the story about a family that lives in a very cold place where the sun shines eight hours a day in the winter. This family has a mother and father and three children, one boy and two girls.
The father has the responsibility of providing a warm place for his family so that they can be raised healthy. Every night each of the children has a soft featherbed to sleep on instead of a synthetic mattress.
The supply of duck exceeds that of goose
Another consideration when making a purchase of down comforters or pillows is the price of duck down versus goose down. One reason that duck is cheaper is that in the U.S. there is a perception that duck down is slightly inferior to goose down. A second reason is that there is a larger worldwide supply of duck, which far exceeds geese.
Goose down pillows and comforters will carry with them an inherent pride of ownership, which comes from the perception of being better and because of less abundant supply. For the money, if duck is the cheaper product and all other things are equal, it is probably the best buy for the obvious reason – price – and you may only be sacrificing the pride of ownership.
